Go Back

Beth was rescued from a nearby Animal Control Facility on what would have been her last day of life.  But now everyday is a new adventure with her new family and a buddy named Coaster.

Hi guys.  It's beauty, and my husband FINALLY got photos of them all play and alone.  So feel free if you want to, to put them on her page and then I will be so happy to go there and see them.  Maybe I should /you should?  tell the story of Brandy and all the dogs stopping playing coz of that.  I will do a few emails with attachments coz my hubby says if I do too many in one then it won't work.  Blessings to you both and how are things going?   oh, you know Coaster, he is the big guy who came with us when we picked Beth up.  "Puppy" is the hound looking black and white with brown on his face guy , and poor Molly is mostly black and overweight.  They are all rescues of some sort and her colors are Rot but that is no what she is supposed to be,  She just eats and eats, no matter how hard we try to keep her away from the other dog's food she just keeps managing to sneak, so ideas apprecieated.  Blessings, Robbie    (these are just each one alone and not so good), the next ones will be playing ones and you will see the beauty in all of our dogs playing again.  Thank you again so so much.

2/7/2008 Hey there.  Just wanted to let you know Beth and the rest of us are doing well.  Plenty of playing going on.  No accidents at all in the house yet, unless I've missed something :) .  Lots of playing going on.  Lots of mud after the snow.  Yuck.  So the 20 year old was in the shower with Beth last night, who apparently doesn't mind the mud at all.  She's okay with her crate for the most part now, and son is kindly helping me out with watching her, so there's not too much crate time during the day.  He's even taken her to a friend's house who has a German Shepherd for them to check her out.  She's filling out a little, so that is good, that I can see it after only a week.  Thank you so very very much.  She's a busy puppy which is challenging, but has brought some life and playfulness back to the pack.  Such a blessing.   Thank you again.  By the way, we think maybe Aussie and hound/beagle?? due to the hoooowwwl .    Blessings,   Robbie

Hi Jackie and Kim!  Another good day with Beth, guys, and wanted to let you know.  Coaster and she are totally fast friends and it is so so cool.  Vet check went well on her for everything except of course orders for puppy food.  No accidents so far today either, but they are going out and playing all the time, and that is a huge yay!!!.  When I start back to work on Monday, it's gonna be kinda tough on her.  As usual I have number of breaks during day to come home, and I am only a minute away from home when I'm at office.  But, she's in her crate at night and doesn't like it.  For a while she'll have to be in her crate when I'm gone and my son are gone at the same time during the day.  Hubby is puppy proofing/cleaning the house tomorrow and Sunday before he leaves on Monday, and unfortunately it's alot of work to do as I've been out of commission for any keeping up on things for quite a while here.  Nonetheless, she's a chewer and very curious, so the crate will be needed for a while.  Now I'm cracking up.  Her bark is bit of a beagle howl at times and comes out of nowhere.  She just heard something outside and all the dogs are looking at her like "what is your problem?"

Hints on crate training would be appreciated, please?  Probably I am just too kind hearted, but we are home all weekends for the most part and so there has not been enough daytime crate time.  So I'm concerned for her.

Also, do we know any anything about where she came from?  Do you know where animal control got her from /were they turned in to a pound, picked up, or what?    I felt so bad today for her as male loud voices were not a good thing at all for her.  Nor was just stern talking from two parents to child (who did 1200$ damage to car in snow and ice last night and then wanted to drive it this afternoon without a mirror.  ahhh, life).  She went behind a chair both times and it was just sad.  She recovered easily with some loving attention, but it was just sad.

Nonetheless, all in all this is a miracle here, and I will do some kind of writing for her web page, with pictures, please?.  We have playing dogs again and it is sheer beauty and relief.   She is a blessing and a beautiful, kind, tender, playful puppy.  Hey, I'll try to get some snow pictures before it is all gone, and yes, yes, yes, Snow buddies all of them.

Hope you don't get sick of hearing about her :)           Blessings,     Robbie

Hi Jackie and Kim.  We're all settling in here and doing very well. The ride home was much easier than the ride there!   Beth just settled into her crate like it was normal and  thus Coaster had a fellow traveler beside him that somehow seemed to help.  He and Beth are fast friends and have been playing in the snow quite a bit this afternoon.  Molly and Puppy aren't sure what's up but are tolerating quite well.  We caught Beth about to have her first "accident" and out she went outside with Coaster and finally did her business.  yay!    So I just wanted to let you know we're all okay and thank you so very much.  Things seem good so far.  I'm the onewho's laying low after another post-surgical , decidedly painful treatment, so I'll tell you more later.   Blessings,                   Robbie
