Marti is doing fantastic. She seems very happy. She plays with Joey constantly, and she likes to curl up for a snooze in my lap. She has very few accidents inside anymore, and when we let her outside she does her business very fast and wants to come in from the cold which we happily oblige.
Her stuffed toys are her favorite, especially the squirrel. She carries it arounf everywhere, and she places it in her bed in the living room. She never leaves it lying around. She insists on grabbing it before she goes in her crate at night. She is in a routine and she seems to be thriving. She very much seeks our approval, and she for the most part stays off the furniture.
I really am fond of her, I think she is adorable, and I don't think I could ever give her up. She has become one of the kids, and Joey and Jessie are happy with that.
The dry air, and heat aren't her friend. She has developed a few hot spots under her coat. I have gone and picked up some puppy conditioner, and it seems to be getting better. She eats well, drinks plenty of water. She has only stole the top peice of one of Joey's sandwiches once, Now Joey is much more protective of his lunch.
My husband likes her, as much as he has liked any of our other pets. I think that he feels the need to act macho, so that I don't see him getting attached to an 11lb dog. He takes very good care of her, and I have even seen him play tug of war with her.
Thank-you very much for giving us the opportunity to adopt from you. Our family wasn't complete without a pet. It seems like she has always been with us, and I couldn't see another pet taking her place. You saved her, and I hope that someday we can repay you.
