Milla

Endora (aka Milla), along with her other 7 brothers and sisters were rescued from an Animal Control facility on what would have been their last day of life.  A rescue that was going to take them to saftey backed out at the last minute leaving them stranded.
And then a few days after being rescued, one by one, the puppies became very ill.  They were all taken to the nearby hospital for treatment.  They were diagnosed with Parvo and within the first 48 hours, we lost two of the boys, Lewis and Parker.  The remaining six puppies fought desperatley to fight off the deadly disease and eventually, one by one were able to come home.

Now happy and healthy, Milla has found her new “Forever Home” where she is truly loved.

Here are some pictures; feel free to put them on your webpage. The picture with me was taken only a few weeks after we adopted Milla.
By the way, Milla weighs 38 lbs and has for a while.  I think this cute size is where she will stay!

Dear Jackie and Kim,
MIlla is doing great.  She and our cat seem to grow closer every day.  She has a schnauzer friend who comes to play with her almost every week.  Milla's fur is so soft! She did eat part of the remote control, but it *was* lying on the floor...
She likes to ride in the car and enjoys picking up my daughter from school. She uses her paws like hands and even cupped my face the other day. She stays by our side for walks --unleashed-- and even will turn back from chasing a squirrel or rabbit, if we call her. Right now she is going out to see the snow with my children.
If the family that adopted Bailey lives nearby, maybe they would like to bring the two dog-sisters together for a play date.  I would enjoy that!  Feel free to pass on my name and e-mail information. I will send a photo soon.  Do you have one of Bailey?
Sincerely,
Amy
